Terms of business
Last updated 2 June 2026
These terms govern the relationship between you and Rockford & Ellington. Please read them alongside our Privacy policy and Risk disclosure before opening an account.
1.Who we are
Rockford & Ellington is a private markets partnership offering execution and advisory services in foreign exchange, indices, commodities and government securities.
Where a service is regulated, it is provided subject to the rules of the relevant authority. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under applicable law.
2.Opening and operating an account
To open an account you must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and able to enter a binding contract. We may ask for identification and source-of-funds information to meet our regulatory obligations.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity conducted through your account. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised access.
3.Orders and execution
We take all sufficient steps to obtain the best possible result for you when executing orders, taking into account price, cost, speed and likelihood of execution.
Prices shown are indicative until an order is accepted. Markets can move between the time an order is placed and the time it is executed.
4.Costs and charges
All spreads, financing rates and commissions are disclosed before you commit to an order and itemised on your statements. We do not apply undisclosed markups.
5.Client money
Client funds are held in segregated accounts with tier-one custodians, separate from the firm's own money, and reconciled daily.
6.Liability
We are not liable for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including market disruption, or for losses that result from your own trading decisions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7.Changes and termination
We may update these terms from time to time and will give reasonable notice of material changes. You may close your account at any time, subject to settling any open positions and outstanding amounts.
